I love the pay what you can drip coffee, the delicious espresso based drinks, and the avocado toast!
I live about two blocks away and it's tempting to go way more often than I should. I really appreciate that these folks know their coffee, and open their space to community events. Staff is always friendly and kind. When it's nice outside, the outdoor space is lovely. When it's not, the huge windows still let in a ton of light. -

I have no idea why this place is so highly reviewed. Maybe perhaps the toast is worth a visit? Unfortunately, I came here based on the review of their coffee. What I had could be compared to a cup of McDonald's coffee with less sugar. Ice took up the top half of the cup so I essentially paid about 5-6 dollars for half a glass of ice and bland coffee. I would give the ambience four stars for how the environment looked, but people were too noisy and it detracted from the peaceful surrounding. (Edit: the manager questioned me on this, asking if I didn't like it when people were sociable. What a ridiculous and passive aggressive question. What I meant was that for the noise level I observed to occur, a space twice as large should have accompanied it.) Customer service wasn't rude, but it was dismissive. You could tell they just wanted you to be over with it before you had even opened your mouth. Perhaps that may be due to my attire; I was dressed in all black (laundry day) and everyone else in the store wore pastels or business casual wear. I felt for them though, as some people still felt entitled to coming in VERY close to closing time. Still, ultimately I would never go here again unless someone else were paying for me.
Edit: unfortunately I must now downgrade my review to one star (wish I could review a 0 star) based on the follow up I received from the manager. Not only did he gaslight me for 4+ paragraphs and end ridiculously with how he "wanted to understand" my viewpoints after all that, upon receiving my personal response he started off with "I'm not going to respond to that" and proceeded to write two more paragraphs more. Apparently he doesn't even know his own business enough, questioning why I wrote about a 5-6 dollar coffee and suggesting I was lying when the mocha they offer is precisely $5. The coffee came out to $6+ after syrup and a tip. Since he told me not to make assumptions then made some of his own, let's reveal a truth:
I honestly thought the reason why we were so dismissively received was because of our ethnicity. The coffee shop we entered didn't have any patrons of color and we were stared at upon entrance. I tried to ignore that and instead commented upon things that I knew to be unbiased and less serious of an offense than racism: my opinion of the coffee I ordered, the ambience of the store, and customer service. Apparently that was still too harsh. I do not understand how someone can partake in the community yet so be hostile upon criticism. I wonder if anyone else who reviewed his store in an unfavorable light was also subjected to such behavior. It's dangerous to let someone with such a short temper and be readily psychologically abusive to a mere stranger have too much of an influence. -

I got the "fifty fifty iced coffee," which has cold brew coffee, milk, and brown sugar. It was a pleasant and refreshing drink that wasn't too sweet or too strong. My friend got the same thing, but with oat milk, which made the drink too sweet for me when I took a sip of it.
We also shared a warmed up raspberry oat bar which was delicious! It was a perfect combination of sweet and tart / soft and chewy.
It's a casual, cute place to relax and chat. We sat in sort of like a nook area. It was nice because it provided a bit of privacy. And I loved the white walls and the greenery around us!
I have a hard time remembering to take pictures of food and drinks before they're devoured... so I only have an after picture haha. But you can see sort of the nook area my friend and I were in! -

Charming. Set in a neighborhood. Lots of huge windows and natural light pouring into the coffee shop. Very spacious patio.
It was a long wait to receive my drink, and they only offer one size. Other than those two things it's a wonderful place. -

Really neat local spot, nestled into a neighborhood right across the street from an Elementary School.
Tons of local walk up traffic, pretty simple menu, had a great Vanilla Latte, the breakfast food looked amazing although I didn't try any.
